The tour configurator is the library used when building tours. In the menu, under the «Konfigüratör» (configurator) group, there are four lists: «Lokasyonlar» (locations), «Mekânlar» (venues), «Etaplar» (stages) and «Ekstralar» (extras).

Who sees it

  • The group depends on the «Konfigüratör» module.
  • «Yönetici» (manager) and «Operasyon elemanı» (operations staff) see the lists. Adding, editing and deleting records is the manager’s job only; for operations staff the rows do not open.
  • If the module is switched off, the records are not deleted; they just do not appear anywhere.

Where the library is used

  • The request’s day cards — the «Gün Kartları» (day cards) section on the request page matches the place names in the programme with locations; on travel days it shows the stage, on visit days the days the venues are closed, and it suggests the stages’ typical stops (Requests and offers). The cards also warn in two cases: when a stage’s «Önce gelmesi gereken etap» (stage that must come first) is not on an earlier travel day of the programme; and when the request’s «Varış saati» (arrival time) is 20:00 or later and Gün 1 (day 1) holds a «Yemek» (meal) activity. The warnings never block saving.
  • Quotation bridge — the «Katalogdan seç» (choose from catalogue) field in the «Ekstralar» section writes the extra’s name, price, currency and daily flag into the quotation line. Hotel selection also takes the locations’ different spellings into account.

Locations

A location is a place name that appears in the programme. You also add to the location the different spellings agencies use for the same place; the matching ignores differences of upper and lower case and of Turkish characters.
  1. Press the «Lokasyon Ekle» (add location) button.
  2. In the «Ad» (name) field, write the name that will appear in the programme.
  3. In the «Diğer yazımlar» (other spellings) field, write each spelling and press Enter (at most 10).
  4. Save.
The same spelling cannot be used in two locations. A location that has venues or stages cannot be deleted: first delete them or link them to another location.

Venues

A venue is a museum or archaeological site in a location.
  1. Press the «Mekân Ekle» (add venue) button.
  2. Choose the «Lokasyon» (location) and write the venue’s name.
  3. In the «Haftalık kapalı günler» (weekly closing days) field, tick the days the venue is closed.
  4. Save.
On the day cards, a visit that falls on a closing day gives a warning. Date ranges, public holidays and opening hours are not kept. A venue that appears among a stage’s typical stops cannot be deleted.

Stages

A stage is a journey between two locations or a city tour. A stage’s type is «Karayolu» (road), «Uçuş» (flight) or «Şehir içi» (in-city).
  1. Press the «Etap Ekle» (add stage) button.
  2. Choose the «Tür» (type), «Nereden» (from) and (except for an in-city stage) «Nereye» (to). For a road stage, enter the distance in kilometres.
  3. On a road or flight stage, if another stage must come before this one in a programme, choose it in the «Önce gelmesi gereken etap» field. The list holds your firm’s road and flight stages; the stage itself is not in it.
  4. In the «Tipik duraklar» (typical stops) field, add the stops on the way: choose a venue or write the name of a stop that is not in the library (at most 20).
  5. Save.
A second stage cannot be created for the same type and locations. An in-city («Şehir içi») stage has no «Önce gelmesi gereken etap» field; if you switch a stage to «Şehir içi» and save, its choice is removed.

Extras

An extra is a service with a price per person that can be added to a quotation.
  1. Press the «Ekstra Ekle» (add extra) button.
  2. Enter the «Ad», the «Kişi başı fiyat» (price per person) and the «Para birimi» (currency).
  3. If the extra is charged separately for each day, switch on the «Günlük (× gün sayısı)» (daily, × number of days) option.
  4. Save.
In the quotation, the price per person is used as the sale price on an optional line and as the cost on a line included in the price. Deleting an extra does not change the lines already added to quotations.

Deleting a record

To delete a record, open it, press the «Sil» (delete) button on the page and confirm. Deletion cannot be undone. A location or venue used in another record cannot be deleted; the panel tells you why. Nor can a stage that another stage names as its «Önce gelmesi gereken etap»: the notification «Etap silinemedi» (stage could not be deleted) says how many stages name it; first remove the choice from those stages.
